Triad Map
Triads (three-note chords) are the fastest way out of memorised shapes. Pick a root and type; the chord tones are marked across the whole neck with root, 3rd and 5th colours, and you can narrow the view to a string group.
Guide
How to use the Triad Map
Root and type
Pick a root and chord type: major, minor, diminished, augmented, sus2, sus4, power chord, sixth and seventh chords and more (17 types in total).
Chord tones across the neck
The tones of the chosen chord are marked on the entire neck from fret 0 to 24, coloured as root, 3rd, 5th (and 7th if present). The chips under the neck list the chord's notes.
String groups
Use the string-group buttons (strings 1-2-3, 2-3-4, 3-4-5, 4-5-6) to narrow the view to three strings. That's the classic triad exercise: finding the same chord in every string group through its three inversions up the neck.
